Juici Patties Is Opening in the Bronx — Bringing Popular Jamaican Flavor to East 149th Street
Juici Patties Bronx NYC opening brings Jamaica’s famous beef patties to the Bronx, adding bold Caribbean flavor to the borough’s food scene.
A new chapter in Bronx food culture is about to begin. Juici Patties, one of the most recognizable Jamaican fast-food brands, is preparing to open a new location at 231A East 149th Street, directly across from Lincoln Hospital. The space was formerly home to a Wine & Liquors store, but it’s now being transformed into a destination for Jamaican comfort food.
For a neighborhood known for its cultural diversity and love for bold flavors, the arrival of Juici Patties feels like a natural fit.
From Wine & Liquors to Jamaican Patties
Restaurant openings in the Bronx often carry layers of history, and this one is no different. The East 149th Street storefront has served the community in different ways over the years. Now, it’s being reimagined as a place for warm patties, Caribbean spices, and quick, satisfying meals.
Juici Patties Bronx NYC Located just steps from Lincoln Hospital, the new Juici Patties is positioned to serve hospital staff, local residents, commuters, and anyone passing through the area looking for a fast, flavorful bite.

What to Expect at Juici Patties Bronx NYC
Founded in Jamaica, Juici Patties is best known for its golden, flaky beef patties filled with seasoned meat and spices. Over the years, the brand has expanded beyond beef, offering chicken, curry chicken, vegetable, and other variations that have made it a staple across the Caribbean and among Jamaican communities abroad.
The brand’s appeal lies in its simplicity: affordable food, bold flavor, and consistency. Whether you’re grabbing one patty or a full meal, Juici Patties delivers comfort food that travels well and hits every time.
Why This Opening Matters for the Bronx
The Bronx has long been a home for Caribbean food culture, but large, recognizable Jamaican brands are still relatively rare compared to other cuisines. Juici Patties opening on East 149th Street adds another strong option to the borough’s growing list of Caribbean eateries.
This opening also reflects a larger shift in NYC food culture — where fast, casual concepts rooted in immigrant communities are becoming neighborhood anchors, not just grab-and-go spots.
What to Expect on the Menu
While the full menu hasn’t been officially announced yet, customers can expect Juici Patties’ classics, including:
- Jamaican beef patties
- Chicken and curry chicken patties
- Vegetable patties
- Coco bread pairings
- Quick, affordable combo options
For many Bronx locals, this will be an easy stop for lunch, a late snack, or a quick meal before heading home.

This whole block of 149th Street has dramatically changed. Square Food Market, Teppanyaki 1 just opened and now Juici Patties. Cant wait. They even have a new Municipal Credit Union on the corner. The Bronx is finally moving forward!
